Snowman Hugs!

I wanted to share the cards I made for our Grandson's for Christmas this year.  I loved these cute snowmen!

When you open them it is like you are giving the kids a little hug!

You can see the instructions for this adorable card here -

Here is a update to the Center Island that my husband built for me!  We had looked everywhere to buy one but couldn't find the right size or price!  So he made one for me!!  I love it!

Here it is after we painted it!  I Hemmed and Hawed over the color- but I love how it ties in since we have chairs and a smaller cupboard this color.

This picture is of the side that faces the sink.  It is open but it works for us since we can just pull out those small appliances that we use most often.

It is so much larger than the island that we were using.  The previous island has no storage at all.

Oh, did you want to see where that island ended up- Yup... my Craft room!  It really gives me more
space to work on.  I just added it as an extension to my white working desk.  I can put stools up to it so that when I have company- they have a work area too!

Happy New Year !

I made a couple of Card in a Box Thank you cards!  I have had this Sizzix snowman die forever!  I decided to use it in my Thank you cards this year.   I bought the Card in a Box die a while ago so it makes putting together this card really easy.  I even used some stickers I had in my stash.

The card above was another version of the 1st card.  I added the scalloped edges to this card.  But it is essentially the same card.   The picture below shows the sentiment that I used on all the cards.

Just to change it up a bit- I made a Snowflake card using Stampin Up's stamps and die from last year.  I still love to use these - they are embossed with gold embossing powder.  I love the look with the Christmas paper.

Here is another view-

The new year has begun!  Hard to believe it is 2017!!  This year will bring some changes for me as I am looking forward to retiring in this new year.  I have worked in the banking world for over 30  years!  But it will mean more time in my Craft room!!  My husband has already retired.  I have him working on some projects around the house.   I wanted to share a picture of the Headboard he made for our bedroom!!!   We have been looking everywhere for the right one - he decided he could make it and he did!  I love how it came out!

Now he is working on making a Kitchen Center Island.  He already has it framed out- He is taking a break in this picture.

I will share more pictures of the finished product!    I can't wait!  Happy New Year to everyone!
